What is lock crimped wire mesh?

Lock crimped wire mesh, also known as double pressed wire mesh, is produced with pre-profiled wires that mechanically engage with each other during weaving. At every crossing point, a clear lock is formed, keeping the position of the wires fixed.

This construction method creates a strong and dimensionally stable panel that maintains its structure even with larger mesh openings. The pronounced crimp in the wires prevents the mesh openings from shifting and ensures stable geometry, even when the panel is exposed to vibration or variable mechanical load.

In lock crimped wire mesh, both the warp and weft wires are pre-profiled with a deep crimp. During the weaving process, these profiles mechanically engage with each other, creating a strong lock at every crossing point.
