Pre-Crimped grates
A solution for filtration, shielding and protection
Pre-Crimped grates are manufactured using a technique where the wires are pre-notched. At the notches, the wires are tightly clamped together, resulting in a grille that possesses exceptional strength and resilience. Their durability and ability to retain their shape, even after limited impact, make them a cost-effective and long-lasting choice.
Characteristics:
- A rigid grille standard in the form of a panel. Upon request, the grille can also be made in rolls.
- The grate is not easily deformable or bendable (unless sufficient force is deliberately applied).
- These panels require heavy duty cutting scissors or grinding disc if they need to be proccessed.
- They maintain their rigidity through the tension between the wires. This means that they ALWAYS have protruding ends. If you were to shorten the protruding ends, the outer wire would lose its tension and thus become less secure.
- Available in various openings and with different wirethicknesses.
Materials:
- Stainless steel: Often used for its durability and resistance to rust.
- Aluminium: Lightweight and often used for decorative applications.
- Brass and Steel: Offer different aesthetic and structural properties.
- Galvanized Steel: For extra protection against rust compared to plain steel.
- Stainless materials: Such as inox 304L, 316L, and 310, each with specific properties for certain applications, such as heat resistance or suitability for the food industry.
Applications:
- Fencing and filtration: Used for sieving materials and as security.
- Decoration: Used for both interior and exterior aesthetic purposes.
- Construction industry: Used for facade cladding, balcony and balustrade shielding, and as a component in concrete structures.
- Interior construction: Applied in exhibition stand elements, lockers, and hanging systems.
- Agricultural sector: Used for machine shielding and partitions in barns.
- Green landscaping: Used as support for plants and greenery, and as fall protection over ponds.
Braided Grates
The notch given to the wire beforehand has an upward and downward cap. Once woven together, there is no flat side.
Pre-Crimped Grates With Single Weave
The pre-applied notches in the wires are shallower and less complex. Once woven, the result resembles woven metal mesh but with the distinction that both the grille and the wires are stiff and strong. Unlike woven sieve mesh, which is usually more flexible and rollable with smaller mesh openings.
Pre-Crimped Grates
The notch applied to the wires beforehand is always on the same side. Once woven together, the grille has a flat side. The advantage of this is that the surface is smoother on the flat side.
